Why Groups Pick a Weeknight

The weekends before Christmas are the busiest nights of the season. Groups get more room, shorter lines and an easier headcount on a weeknight.

Lighter Crowds

Thursdays early in the month, and every weeknight from December 17, run quieter than the pre-Christmas weekends.

The Late Rate

Everyone is $10 after 7:30PM, which makes an evening group outing the cheapest way to see the show.

Easy Logistics

Free parking at the Maryland State Fairgrounds, directly off I-83 north of Baltimore, with the Light Rail at the gate for car-free groups.

Accessible for Everyone

ADA accessible grounds, seating in the pre-show zone and a rest stop halfway along the trail.

Group Questions, Answered

How big does my group need to be?

20 people or more. Smaller than that? Regular tickets work great, and the Family 4-Pack covers four for $50.

How do I book?

Email the right team with your group size, preferred dates and a contact number. Schools and non-profits: shack@drinkeatrelax.com. Family and social groups: team@mdholidaylights.com.

Which nights work best for groups?

Weeknights. The show runs Thursday through Sunday for the first two weeks of December, then every night from December 17. The full schedule shows every open night, and weeknights after the 17th are the quietest.

How long should we plan for?

Most guests spend 45 minutes to an hour and a half on the grounds. The trail is self-guided, so your group moves at its own pace, together or in smaller clusters.

Where do buses and carpools park?

Parking is free on site at the Maryland State Fairgrounds, 2200 York Road in Timonium, directly off I-83 north of Baltimore. Mention your vehicle plans in your booking email so the team can point you to the right entrance. Directions here.

Is the trail accessible for all mobility levels?

The grounds are ADA accessible with ADA restrooms on site. The trail crosses decking, gravel and asphalt with slight elevation changes, and there is seating in the pre-show zone plus a rest stop halfway. More in the FAQ.
