Christmas Lights at the Maryland State Fairgrounds
Maryland Holiday Light Spectacular at the Timonium Fairgrounds
Every December, the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium becomes a half-mile walk-through trail of over a million lights: the Maryland Holiday Light Spectacular. Directly off I-83, with free parking and the Light Rail at the gate.
The Fairgrounds in December
Most Marylanders know the Timonium fairgrounds for the State Fair. For select nights from December 3 to 30, the same grounds host the region’s largest walk-through holiday light show: a half-mile trail of more than a million Christmas lights, a winter carnival with a Ferris wheel, live Santa through December 23, and the Swiss Holiday Village with shops and rotating food trucks.
Unlike the drive-through light shows around Baltimore, you see this one on foot, at your own pace. See everything on the trail, check the nightly schedule, or buy tickets from $10.
