Buying Your Tickets
Do I need to buy tickets in advance?
You can buy at the gate, but advance tickets are cheaper and some dates and times sell out, especially the weekends before Christmas. If you are set on a specific night, buy ahead.
What is the cheapest way to bring a family?
The Family 4-Pack: four Any Day tickets for $50, which works out to $12.50 a head with no date to pick in advance. Kids 4 to 13 are $10 any time, and children 3 and under are free.
Is it really $10 for adults after 7:30?
Yes. Every night we are open, everyone gets in for $10 after 7:30PM, adults included. The trail is at its best once it is fully dark, and the late crowd is lighter.
Do I pick a date when I buy?
Standard tickets are for a chosen date. Any Day and Family 4-Pack tickets work on any night we are open, with no date selection and no need to call ahead.
What is the refund policy?
All sales are final and all items are non-refundable. If you are not certain of your night, the Any Day ticket is the safe choice, since it works on any night we are open.
Planning Your Night
Which nights are you open?
Select nights, December 3 to 30: Thursday through Sunday for the first two weeks, then nightly from December 17 through 30. We close early on Christmas Eve and are closed on Christmas Day. The checkout above shows every open night, and the full schedule lists nightly performances and petting zoo dates.
What do the carnival rides cost?
The Winter Carnival Ride Add-On is $20 and includes four ride tickets, each good for one attraction: the Ferris Wheel, the Magical Carousel, the Santa Train or the Slide. Buy in advance, because prices go up on site.
What about food and drinks?
Hot cocoa and cider start at $5 at the huts along the trail, with select holiday spirits available for an upcharge. Rotating food trucks serve the Swiss Holiday Village.
What about groups of 20 or more?

Is this a drive-through?
No. The Maryland Holiday Light Spectacular is a walk-through holiday light show: a half-mile walking trail with over a million lights, a winter carnival, live Santa and the Swiss Holiday Village. Parking is free. See everything on the trail or get directions to the Timonium fairgrounds.
